Jeffrey L. Saltiel is an influential litigator who for many years has aggressively represented residential and commercial clients in complex multi-faceted cases in landlord/tenant and real estate litigation through the Housing, Supreme, and Bankruptcy Courts for many years. Mr. Saltiel’s areas of practice include: civil litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, appellate work and court appointed fiduciary representation.
In addition to his talents as a trial attorney who endeavors to leave no stone unturned, Mr. Saltiel has served as a Guardian Ad Litem in over 200 proceedings before the Housing Court and Supreme Court on behalf of individuals who were unable to represent themselves, often challenging administrative agencies to compel them to provide needed services. Having served as Vice President and Treasurer of the Kings County Housing Court Bar Association since 2002, he has often been called to testify as an expert in Housing Court proceedings on various issues. Mr. Saltiel is a sought-after lecturer, and has taught several continuing education courses for attorneys and real estate agents.
As a partner in Wenig Saltiel LLP, Mr. Saltiel works to make sure all clients of the firm are given the best representation possible and collaberates with partner, Meryl Wenig to create strategies with the client’s best interests in mind using his client first approach. Mr. Saltiel regularly donates his time to serve as a Small Claims Arbitrator and in 2005
was honored by the New York City Civil Court as Arbitrator of the Year. When he is not practicing law, he volunteers with various chapters of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity with Congregation B'nai Jeshurun.
